Tire rotation can be beneficial to your vehicle and offers several tire-related and vehicle performance advantages. When you rotate your tires at the recommended times, your car will drive smoother and perform better. It will be easier to steer and maneuver the car, and you will have the right traction on the road. You tires will also wear out evenly, extending the life of your tire.
Tire rotation will even out tire wear by allowing each tire to serve in as many of the vehicle's wheel positions as possible. Although tire rotation can't correct wear problems due to worn mechanical parts or incorrect inflation pressures, it will help you take steps to making your tires last longer.
Many tire mileage warranties require tire rotation to keep the warranty valid. McCorkendale Auto Service recommends that tires be rotated every 5,000 to 6,000 miles; even if they don't show signs of wear. Tire rotation can often be done with oil change intervals, while the vehicle is on a lift and off the ground. This is also a good time to balance your tires. When your tires are rotated, we wil inspect for any damage, remove stones or debris from the tire treads, inspect for uneven wear on the tire tread depth and inspect your tire pressure.
