After boycotting this repair shop for years after being treated like s#!t by their owner, I mistakenly decided to give them another try. After redeeming a AAA coupon for a full service oil change, I spent over $600 at this place, getting my strut mounts replaced, along with new struts. They didn't bother with the balancing of the tires, or even drive the car after the repairs. If they did, they would have noticed that the car still had a wobble. I returned to have the problem diagnosed, and they wanted to charge me an additional $50. I don't think so... TOTAL RIPOFF ARTISTS!!! Don't let them fool you into thinking they are honest. They probably submitted the kind reviews themselves.
We performed the AAA courtesy inspection and replaced your struts, as we had recommended during that inspection, at your request. Your vehicle was test driven by two different technicians on both occasions and we felt no shimmy, therefore not recommending a tire balance. At no time did you mention you were feeling a shimmy in the rear of the vehicle, therefore we did not know we were looking for a specific problem. Balancing tires is not part of replacing struts. That is a complete different procedure. One month after replacing the struts you spoke with the Service Advisor and mentioned you had a shimmy and thought replacing the struts would solve that issue, but you might have a bad tire. My Service Advisor explained to you we would gladly inspect our previous repairs and if it was not related, then we would have to diagnose your concern by removing the tires, inspect for balance and a possible slipped belt in a tire at a fee. Our shop does charge to balance tires, this is not a free service. I would like the opportunity to inspect the strut replacement so please contact me. We are a AAA Approved Repair Facility and you are more than welcome to contact AAA if you feel you were treated unfairly.
